5-Pitch Plucky® is a modified game of baseball using a pitching machine resulting in four times more at-bats and balls in play than a typical youth baseball game keeping your kid engaged in the sport. Watch this short video to see a glimpse of the fun.

All games are played at the same place at the same time making it easier on your carpool schedule. Games are played at Mark Twain in Richardson on Thursday nights from 7:00 - 8:30 pm. No practices. Games are drop-and-go!

Think of this as organized games at a local sandlot. This is all about having fun. Every game will be run by a SVAA League Official. Positive instruction is a big part of why your kid will love being in this league.

We've partnered with Spring Valley Athletic Association (SVAA) to offer this 5-Pitch Plucky® league. They also offer softball, baseball, basketball, volleyball, flag football, and tackle football in the Fall.

This game removes the boring part and packs in the action. Most batters put the ball in play by the third pitch and then the defense goes to work. There are no walks and no steals so this is about advancing the runner with balls-in-play. It truly is a "baseball merry-go-'round."
Is your ballplayer having trouble at the plate?
We know why - we've been there!
IT'S SO FRUSTRATING! You know your ballplayer can swing the bat and hit the ball a long way. He does it all of the time in practice but for some reason come game time, everything falls apart. It's tough to see this happen to your child because you just know he's better than that. At this age, the only antidote is getting "game-speed" reps at the plate.
Only 1.4 Plate appearances in a typical Little League game
In a typical baseball game at this age, your ballplayer will only get 1.4 plate appearances over the course of 3 innings that takes around an hour and forty minutes. How do you expect them to improve at that rate? That's not enough "game-speed" opportunities. Sure, batting practice and cage work help, but that's not the same as playing in a competitive situation. 5-Pitch Plucky® was designed to give ballplayers 4X more plate appearances in less time resulting in more confidence at the plate.

With more plate appearances comes more balls in play. With more balls in play comes defensive chances. 5-Pitch Plucky® is a "baseball merry-go-round" that provides lots of reps for all aspects of the game. We've simply modified the rules a bit to amp up the action. As a result, it is a TON OF FUN!
"Baseball ready!!"
is a common phrase that you’ll hear at youth baseball games. It’s not that the kids playing don’t love the game, they just get bored really easily because the game is slow and consists mainly of walks and steals. Very few balls are hit into play which means there’s very little defensive activity. Thus, “baseball ready” becomes the rallying cry for coaches and parents alike who see their ballplayer staring off into the distance knowing that a baseball will seldom come their way. 5-Pitch Plucky® has changed youth baseball with an action-packed game that could be called "revolutionary."
